We publish original poetry, prose on poetry, and art three times a year- January for Winter, April for Spring, and August for Monsoon. Poetry is gathered through general submissions, though once in a while we run works from poets we read and admire. We also have a fondness for poets who have never published their work before.
Prose on poetry may be submitted as book reviews, essays on contemporary poetry, poet writing on another poet, or interviews. For the moment, prose on poetry is limited only to Indian Poetry in English.
To submit your work, send 4-6 previously unpublished poems or 1500-3500 words prose on poetry with a cover letter. We have recently adopted a no-bio policy, and from Spring 2017 issue, we will not publish bios on the website. Response time varies; you should hear from us in six to eight weeks.
We don't count poems on personal blogs or websites as "published". We accept simultaneous submissions, but please inform us in the event of your poem(s) being accepted for publication elsewhere.
We read submissions on rolling basis. No deadlines. Submit 4-6 of your best poems at a time. Please include all poems in a single Word file with a cover letter. Bios are optional and will not be uploaded on the website.
Book reviews, interviews, and in-depth articles on poetry are especially welcome. So are personal narratives by poets on poets. 1500-3500 words. This category is limited at the moment to Indian Poetry in English. No simultaneous submission; we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
